In Case of Emergency What Do I Do?
Expectations:
At Kevala, our expectation is that you do all that you can to make it to your shift. Just like any other job, attendance plays a large part in evaluating your performance. Most importantly, it massively impacts the team expecting you to be at their facility.
We also understand sometimes things happen!
Examples of possible reasons to call out are: illness, emergencies (family/home), death of a loved one, or unprecedented circumstances.
An emergency came up and I need to call out, what should I do?
When you need to call off a shift your priority is to call the facility.
They are the ones impacted so it is most important you communicate with them directly. Then you notify our team via text/call at (425)-242-4549. All of this can be found in your day one packet.
When in doubt! Call the number for the facility found on google
We require a minimum of 4hrs notice for a call off, any less can be considered a no call no show which can impact your ability to book shifts in the future. The more time the better for the community to find coverage! If you work a day shift, the night before is ideal.
I need to cancel more than 24 hours in advance, what should I do?
Notify our team via text/call at (425)-242-4549 - we want to try to find a solution if possible first. If it will not be a shift you can make we can let the facility know and will look for coverage.
*Please note that any shift call outs will result in disqualification from any attendance based bonus.
